Ceramic vs PTFE: what is the difference for maintenance?

Important: never force it. Do not use force, no pliers, no sharp objects. You damage the shaft and the seal, and that leads to leakage and rust.

Method 1: Soak in warm water

The simplest approach. Fill the baking pan with warm water until the kneading paddle is fully submerged. Let it soak for 10 to 15 minutes. The water loosens the dried-on dough residue and the kneading paddle then usually twists off easily.

Method 2: Vegetable oil + heat
